Detailed Product Description

After the Second World War, the Viet Minh (the pioneering revolutionary force of Vietnam) copied the pith helmet from the former French colonizer, and adopted it as its own. Today it is still widely worn by both civilians and the military in Vietnam; it is similar to the pre-WWII civilian pith helmets, but covered in jungle green cloth, and with a metal insignia at the front (especially for the Vietnamese military soldiers) . The jungle green colour was used to help Vietnamese soldiers hide the enemy during their operations in the tropical jungles throughout country. This color has been remained and unchanged for almost half a century.
